Our stay at Hunter’s Ridge Cabins was wonderful!! Our cabin was clean and comfortable. There is an AC unit in every room which made it cold and relaxing after a long, hot day at the river. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils, dishes, coffee/keurig and even a dishwasher!! If you’re not into cooking while on vacation they have a beautiful pavilion to eat at and the pool is nice and refreshing. My family and I will always stay here for our trip to the Frio!!

Awesome hosts! Cabin was clean with a/c in every room. Well furnished. Hosts were very attentive and courteous. With a pool, hot tub and large covered seating area, you are tempted to never leave, but a dip in the Frio is just down the way. Looking forward to a return stay!

We enjoyed our visit very much! The cabin was clean, cozy and had all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The owners were very accommodating, easy to communicate with and even turned the hot tub on for us and showed us how to use the jets at our leisure. Perfect little get away. Cabins are very close to the river and town, for anything you need. We will absolutely be coming back!

We just returned from Hunter’s Ridge Cabins and I have already booked our next stay. There is no other place I would want to stay. The owners are so accommodating and wonderful. The cabin is a large 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms. There is a full kitchen, a living room with a large tv on the wall, and a dining room. There are rocking chairs on the front porch, with fire pits, and a bar-b-que pit. The grounds have a brand-new giant swimming pool with a hot tub. There is also a laundry center to clean your clothes. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pan, silverware, glassware, serving ware, and even spices. The owners are top notch and I would never stay anywhere else.

First of all, I want to start off by thanking a lady named Sonia. I called her resort, I can’t remember the name of it to see if they could take a last-minute booking for five people and for one night. Sonia was unable to do so, but she referred me to Trent and Wendy down the way at Hunter’s Ridge. I called Wendy and she immediately booked us in at cabin 3. We were extremely grateful for allowing us to make a last-minute booking. Since we were on the road from Houston to Cancun, she said she would provide bedding and towels. When we arrived the cabin was absolutely adorable. It was very clean, and smelled lovely. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. They even provided firewood for us to use the fire pit. We also had an opportunity to get in the hot tub and it was wonderful. We quickly decided that we wanted to stay an additional night. Wendy made that possible for us without a problem. we are extremely pleased with these hoes and are definitely going to book here again in the near future.

We stayed a few days with two cabins full of friends. It was wonderful! The cabins are clean and well appointed. The new pool, hot tub and lighting are great. Terriffic place to stay for hunting, Frio River floats, golf. Trent and Wendy are wonderful owners!

I really wish I could give more than 5 stars because this place was OVER THE TOO! Excellent service from Wendy and Trent, very efficient with handling business needs online and over the phone, SUPER clean cabin, nice rocking hairs to relax on the porch with a coffee, beer, or water in your hand, and all of the accessories you can think of when camping. I very highly recommend this place, specially cabin 3 since it’s so cute, convenient location, and great scenery!

Trent and Wendy were incredible hosts! Very friendly and knowledgeable. The cabin is located in the perfect location with pretty views of the surrounding hills. Located close to town and Garner State park. Gas station/Market, restaurants, and river outfitters right around the corner. Each unit has everything you could need. Really enjoyed our private fire pit and BBQ pit right outside our unit. The bedrooms are a great size and the kids loved the queen sized bunks. Pool and outdoor pavilion is being constructed now. Can’t wait to come back and stay in the cabin again

We absolutely loved our stay with Wendy & Trent at Hunter’s Ridge Cabins! They had ABSOLUTELY everything covered as far as the kitchen goes – even basic spices. They recommended the best outfitter for us to tube the Frio River, & greeted us (& our dog) when we arrived back from a fun, hot day of tubing.
The cabin (#5) is exceptionally clean & you feel totally comfortable relaxing with the two bedrooms, each with their own en suite full bathroom. My kids said the queen bed bunks were the biggest bunk beds they’d ever seen!
Overall AMAZING stay—clean, friendly, welcoming, accommodating, & even entertaining!
Can’t wait to come back!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR STAY!! The property-cabin-staff has been hands down 10/10 stars. We stayed in cabin 5 with 4 adults & two kids under the age of 4. The beds were great, the cabin was clean, and the property is fabulous. A quick drive to the river, shopping, and gas stations. We have been coming to the frio for the past 5 years and Hunter’s Ridge Cabin’s will be our new summer spot. We in fact will be back for round two in a few weeks. Book with them & you will not regret it!!
