Annular Eclipse
During this eclipse, the moon covers the center of the sun, leaving only the outer edges of the sun visible. This is where you get that stunning and surreal “ring of fire” view if you are lucky enough to be situated in the path of the eclipse.
Total Solar Eclipse
The event will see the moon casting a 115-mile shadow that will sweep in on a northeast pattern from Texas to Maine after crossing into the United States from Mexico. The shadow will go all the way up to the Canadian Maritimes during the event.
